  • Coronavirus pandemic quickly spread across the world. 
  • In 2020 when we first saw the spread of Covid-19 the whole world went on high alert.
  • In public mental health terms, the main psychological impact up to date is elevated rates of stress or anxiety. 
  • But as new measures and impacts are introduced – especially quarantine and its effects on many people’s usual activities, routines, or livelihoods – levels of loneliness.
  • Depression, harmful alcohol and drug consumption, and self-harm or suicidal behavior are also expected to rise.
  • Our body’s response to any supposed or real threat can result in fear. It is common for people to experience fear in the situation of the pandemic
  • Challenge your negative thoughts so that the chain of negative thoughts can not become so strong that you start to believe it's true.
  • Physical workout and proactively taking out time to exercise and relax can support to improve your mood and reduces stress and anxiety. 
  • Try developing new interests and hobbies in this critical time to improve your mood. (Such as dancing, gardening, cooking, playing with your pet, watering your plants, learning new instruments, playing board games with family, etc.).
